GET2017教育科技大會(huì)即將開幕，Penni也為大家?guī)韼孜粎?huì)嘉賓對(duì)教育的觀點(diǎn)。今天的故事來自 ATA副總裁 Alex Tong。現(xiàn)在從事考試測(cè)評(píng)服務(wù)的他也曾做老師很多年。

他最喜歡的教育名言有兩句：

我們的孩子需要教育，但我們可能不需要“學(xué)?！?。

不設(shè)學(xué)習(xí)目標(biāo)的考試測(cè)評(píng)毫無價(jià)值。

以下是他的原句和故事：

Q：Your favorite education quote?

Our children need education, but we may not need schools.

Assessment without learning objectives carries no weight.    

Q：Your story with education？

I once told a past student of mine the main reason I left teaching 20 years ago was that I am frustrated that I had no feedback on how I did in teaching my students, until a few years later if they ever come back and tell me that I did a great job and inspired him or her.

He looked at me and told me that: “I share your frustrations as a student   since we also had no clue how we are doing in school until we got the report   card by the end of the year. At least you can quit teaching, we couldn’t quit   schooling!”

我曾經(jīng)告訴一名已經(jīng)畢業(yè)的學(xué)生，20年前我離開教學(xué)的主要原因是我有很大的挫敗感，因?yàn)槲以诮虒W(xué)上的努力沒辦法得到及時(shí)的反饋，除非幾年后他們回來跟我說我啟發(fā)了他或她。

他默默聽完我的嘮叨，然后告訴我：“我絕對(duì)理解你的沮喪——作為一個(gè)學(xué)生，我們也不知道我們?cè)谡n堂上學(xué)習(xí)得如何，直到在年底拿到我們的成績(jī)單……但至少你可以選擇放棄教學(xué)，我們卻不能放棄上學(xué)！”
